This summary won’t even begin to explain how powerful this episode is. We have our very first father of a current NBA player on the show today, so this one has a different, deeper kind of feel compared to our usual guests. Anthony Prince joins us today to share his story and it’s an emotional one that will really hit home, especially for all you dads out there.

He is the father of current Brooklyn Nets forward, Taurean Prince. If you know anything about their background then you know it’s a powerful and inspiring story. The struggles that Anthony and Taurean went through together were extremely difficult, including most nights spent sleeping at the Salvation Army. Anthony will be the first to tell you that he doesn’t like the term “homeless” as he was grateful to have that roof over their head. The bond these two have is special and it was both amazing and emotional to hear all about the strength and resilience these two had to make it where they are today. We also got to hear the behind the scenes of what a father of a current NBA player goes through with the business of the NBA, player movement, agents, and even just being fan.

Anthony was incredible and we can’t thank him enough for his time. We loved finding out more about him, his story, and I think all dads out there can learn a thing or two from him. He continues to give back and help with the National Kids Hoops Association, and they are about more than just basketball. It is an amazing way to give back and we encourage all of you to check it out and support them.
