In today's show, the big topic is of course hate crimes, particularly anti-Asian bigotry on the rise over the past year, and of course, the horrible mass shooting in Atlanta. Cliff talks a bit about how tougher gun laws could have helped. We then talk about the technical definition of hate crimes, and why it matters to get the designation right, and about whether Asians and Latinos are getting enough attention. That leads us into a discussion about discussion, and how we need to have a bit freer speech on social media. And finally, we venture into a recollection of Cheech and Chong.
