Anti-Black Racism [PART ONE]

Listen Later

Welcome to our first lesson on Anti-Black Racism! We will be diving into this important topic for the next 3-4 episodes as part of our first mini-series!

Today's lesson is packed with 8 key terms to give our students a basis for discussion and understanding. This episode also has a really great activity to get the lesson started where students are asked to listen to an amazing audio clip that's filled with different voices and countless identifiers while writing down their own. This is a phenomenal way for you and your class to get to know how they view themselves and how they'd like to be addressed by their peers. At the end of the lesson they are given a task which reflects on the terms they explored today. The task and its relation to the curriculum is explained in our Teacher Talk portion.

We would like to thank you for being on this journey with us!
