In this episode, attorneyAndrea Burkhart and I discuss the aftermath of the anti-SLAPP ruling in the Marilyn Manson lawsuit and a pending appeal. The ruling granted motions related to first amendment rights, and dismissed some claims in Marilyn Manson's lawsuit. However, there are still pending claims, including intentional infliction of emotional distress and violations of California Penal Code. While the ruling eliminates the opportunity to challenge the truthfulness of past accusations against Manson, substantial allegations remain against Evan Rachel Wood and Illma Gore.
