  • Chapter 52: Grandma’s Secret Recipe for Bad Days

What do you do on the days when getting out of bed feels impossible? This episode talks about depression through a very special memory: the afternoon my grandma offered to teach me our family’s legendary Caesar salad recipe. Learning that recipe one slow step at a time taught me a lesson I now want to share with anyone who’s struggling.

With a little help from The Perks of Being a Wallflower, this episode talks about why depression is never your fault, how you are so much more than your illness, and why the love you show yourself matters. Some days, the only goal is to take the next small step. And if things break along the way, you can always start again.

  • Chapter 51: What If You Don’t Know the Whole Story?

Welcome to Season Six of Antihero Unplugged!

I’m so excited to be back for a brand-new season, and we’re starting with a conversation that I think all of us can relate to.

How often do we judge someone without knowing the full story?

In this episode, we’re talking about what it means to see people through a lens of empathy, to question our first assumptions, and to remember that we never really know what someone else may be carrying.

From rude comments to unanswered texts, sometimes there’s a reason behind someone’s behavior that we may never get to see or fully understand.

This episode is a reminder that empathy doesn’t mean excusing people, tolerating behavior that hurts us, or abandoning our boundaries. It means choosing not to assume the worst when we don’t know the whole story.

And maybe, just maybe, it’s also a reminder to offer ourselves that same kindness, patience, and empathy along the way.

So welcome back, and welcome to Season Six of Antihero Unplugged. I’m really happy you’re here.

  • Chapter 50: Drown in it

This episode explains how to survive heartbreak and slowly find your way back to yourself. It focuses on allowing yourself to feel the pain instead of rushing to “get over it,” recognizing when you’re genuinely struggling, and letting your friends support you through the hardest moments.

It also explains that healing requires a decision to move forward, even when you aren't completely ready. Through ideas of nature, growth, and future versions of yourself, the episode emphasizes that life keeps moving and that difficult seasons eventually change.

  • Chapter 49: Faith over fear

This episode is about trusting God when something in your life ends or when you’re stuck in a season of waiting. This episode  explains that losing a friendship, dream, relationship, or version of yourself can feel like the end of the story, but an ending can actually create space for something better.

The main message is that silence doesn’t mean abandonment, and an ending doesn’t mean failure. Faith means trusting that there is a bigger plan even when you can’t see it yet. Instead of carrying every worry alone, This episode encourages listeners to give their fears to God and trust that their current situation is only one small part of a much bigger story.

  • Chapter 48: The Bee and the Fly

This episode explores why people can become attached to unhealthy relationships and mistake inconsistency, anxiety, and emotional intensity for love.

Using the analogy of a bee and a fly, it examines how our experiences can shape what we come to accept as “normal” in relationships.

The episode also explores signs that you may be settling for the bare minimum and encourages listeners to recognize that healthy, consistent love exists—even if it feels unfamiliar at first.

  • Chapter 47: Don’t let your figs rot

This episode talks about Sylvia Plath’s fig tree metaphor and the fear of letting your opportunities pass while you’re stuck choosing between them.

From personal experiences such as dreams of becoming a chef to law school, traveling, and living abroad, this episode explores the pressure to choose one path and why sometimes, you just have to reach for a fig before it rots.

  • Chapter 46: Be a goldfish

The idea isn’t about being clueless or fake happy, it's about letting go of mistakes instead of replaying them forever. Humans tend to  obsess over embarrassing moments because of the spotlight effect.

This episode's message, your mistakes are lessons, not life sentences. Stop swimming in circles around them and keep moving forward.

  • Chapter 44: The Ferrari

In this episode, I share a moment that completely changed how I see faith and timing ✈️

After an emotional breakdown on a flight home, a conversation with a stranger reminded me of something powerful: just because you want something doesn’t mean you’re ready for it.

We talk about faith, unanswered prayers, and how what feels like rejection might actually be protection 🙏

If you’ve ever felt lost or questioned God’s timing, this episode is for you 💭✨

  • Chapter 43: The prettiest shade of blue

This episode of Antihero Unplugged explores rejection through a different lens: not as failure, but as preference. Using the metaphor of colors, this episode reflects on what it means to give someone the deepest, richest parts of yourself and still not be chosen. Because sometimes, it isn’t about being incomplete or unworthy, sometimes you’re simply not what they were looking for.
