The Antiques Road Show is about people coming to realize the true value of what they have. The parable of the treasure in the field and of fine pearl is about people going after what they recognize is of great value. Jesus tells us that we should seek after God's kingdom, we should seek a relationship with him - that is the true treasure! The homily is based on Matthew chapter 13, verses 44 to 46.
