John 20:19-23

We’re all anxious to find peace. We want peace from all the swirling dangers and stresses of the world around us. We also want the inner peace of a heart that is at rest. We want to have peace with our own pasts and to have a peace from the guilt that so often burdens our hearts.

Jesus is the only one who can give us an all-encompassing peace. By his resurrection he gives us a peace this world can’t give. He gives us forgiveness to put our guilty consciences to rest. He gives us eternal peace and peace with God himself. This peace we’ve been given will also lead us to be anxious to share Christ’s peace with others.
