In the first episode of We Connect, Amy speaks to J Ryan Williams a coach and entrepreneur based in Seattle. They talk about disrupting technology across the world, entrepreneurship and the impact of Covid-19.

Often the attitude in the US and other areas of the west is that if an idea has already been ‘done’ (e.g Uber or Amazon) then it is not worth pursuing, but this is simply not true. There are pockets all over the world, including the US where these major companies aren’t even established.
Different markets obviously have different demographics and tech specifics. Smaller markets especially are often overlooked because they might not purchase in the way many people do in the US. But these are still significant economies many companies are completely missing out on just because they aren’t open to adapting.
Because of covid the world is now much more open to doing anything virtually. So many of the barriers that were there before have been broken down and naysayers proven wrong.
J Ryan would rather see someone who builds their entrepreneurial journey and business around them and their life than the other way around. If people can realise that we can construct businesses around us and the time we are spending on other things then entrepreneurship suddenly appears more accessible to all.
When you have limited resources that’s when you start to become creative and innovative with your thinking.
