In this episode, we’re inside the UFR Research Station Osiris, currently orbiting the Carina Nebula—a vast, real-world star-forming region over 7,500 light-years from Earth. Osiris is observing an interstellar anomaly known as Object 514-C, a self-repeating neutrino burst that may be the first observed remnant signal from a pre-galactic civilization.

It’s a scientific posting of immense prestige - and potential danger. The anomaly occasionally disrupts local communications, and proximity to dark matter filaments poses a navigational hazard. Despite this, political pressure means the position of Orbital Administrator must be filled immediately.

The UFR Recruitment Officer has 20 minutes to choose from three available candidates, each with impeccable qualifications...  but of course Anything Could Happen
