Anything Goes

Anything Goes #42 S.1

Listen Later

The last episode of anything goes starts and ends in silence. This is the last episode of season 1, and plans for the second season are underway, so far tentatively called "season 3". In "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" it is speculated that objectivity is equal to number 42, therefore questioning the supposed objectivity of the concept of objectivity. This is why we believe that this episode (number 42) is the most subjective of all episodes of Anything Goes. This episode explores The Barber of Seville as the last comedy show ever performed over 200 years ago, right before lockdown. Additionally, we explore the foundation of the city of Canberra, the soon-to-be capital that was unbeknownst to itself, as Canberra believed that Sydney was the capital, belief held by the majority of the world population, only for Canberra to be coming unprepared to the capital inauguration ceremony, which was held in Brisbane. All sentimentality aside, this was probably the most heart-wrenching goodbye ever transmitted on any live broadcast. This episode contains the letter 'S'.
