March 22, 2025 ~ Clint Hurdle grew up in Merritt Island, Florida and was the 9th pick by the Kansas City Royals in the 1975 Baseball Draft. After a 10-year Major League Baseball career, he spent 15 years in the Colorado Rockies organization. From 2011 to 2019 he was the Manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates and is the author of “Hurdle-isms: Wit & Wisdom from a Lifetime in Baseball.”
