The CPSC and Aqualung are recalling Apeks Exotec SCUBA Diving Buoyancy Compensator Devices.  The dump valve on these devices sticks in the open position preventing full inflation and triggering loss of buoyancy control and with possible decompression sickness and drowning.  The affected model numbers are BT1380108ML, BT1380108XLXXL, BT1380110ML and BT1380110XLXXL.  About 330 of these devices were sold at dive stores nationwide and online at Aqualung.com.  Stop using these defective buoyancy compensator devices and return them to the point of purchase for a refund.  If you cannot access the dealer or if you require additional information, contact AQUALUNG at 1-877-379-7694 or via email at [email protected].
