This is the first week of our new series on Ephesians 4 in which we teach on the fivefold ministry of the church (apostle, prophet, evangelist, shepherd, and teacher). Before getting to these gifts, however, we delve into the foundation from which these gifts come. In this message, we explore what Eugene Peterson calls "the church we never see." This deeper, unseen reality is the life-giving foundation from which the church we do see comes to life by the power of the Spirit.
