The judgments of Revelation have the purpose of preparing for the return of Christ and the establishment of His eternal Kingdom. The fulfillment of that requires that the kingdom that exists against Jesus be completely removed. The world stage is set for Jesus to come as the kingdom of Babylon has fallen.
