Jon McGoran writes great biotech thrillers -- his books DRIFT and DEADOUT are fantastic. The third book in the Doyle Carrick series, DUST UP, will be out in 2016. McGoran is also the author of the sci-fi story AFTER EFFECTS, and, writing as D.H. Dublin, he authored three forensic thrillers: BODY TRACE, BLOOD POISON, and FREEZER BURN.
