Apple has recently confirmed that all new apps submitted for the Apple Watch need to be ‘native’ as of June 1st .
In other words, an Apple Watch wearer wouldn’t need to have their iPhone with them to access an application, and they would be able to browse the web or use apps independently.
But it now means that brands may need to develop applications specifically for the Apple Watch, in addition to other iOS platforms.
