Apple has finally done it. They've jumped the shark entirely. They've never been the most consistent company out there, but now that they offer lossless audio to a user base that predominantly uses Apple products to listen to music, they've gone too far. Lossless audio is great, but when your audio products can't support your new lossless format you have completely lost the thread.
