Ant. 1 Before the feast of the Passover Jesus knew that his hour had come; he had always loved those who were his own, and now he would show them the depth of his love.
Psalm 120
To the Lord in the hour of my distress
What shall he pay you in return,
Alas, that I abide a stranger in Meshech,
Long enough have I been dwelling
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
Psalm 121
I lift up my eyes to the mountains;
May he never allow you to stumble!
The Lord is your guard and your shade;
The Lord will guard you from evil,
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
Psalm 122
I rejoiced when I heard them say:
Jerusalem is built as a city
For Israel’s law it is,
For the peace of Jerusalem pray:
For love of my brethren and friends

READING 2 Corinthians 4:10-12
Continually we carry about in our bodies the dying of Jesus, so that in our bodies the life of Jesus may also be revealed. While we live we are constantly being delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus may be revealed in our mortal flesh. Death is at work in us, but life in you.
Sacred Silence (indicated by a bell)
He freely gave himself up in sacrifice.
CONCLUDING PRAYER
Almighty ever-living God,
ACCLAMATION (only added when praying in community)
Let us praise the Lord.
