READING Acts 10:40-43
God raised up Jesus on the third day and granted that he be seen, not by all, but only by such witnesses as had been chosen beforehand by God β by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. He commissioned us to preach to the people and to bear witness that he is the one set apart by God as judge of the living and the dead. To him all the prophets testify, saying that everyone who believes in him has forgiveness of sins through his name.
Sacred Silence(indicated by a bell) β a moment to reflect and receive in our hearts the full resonance of the voice of the Holy Spirit and to unite our personal prayer more closely with the word of God and public voice of the Church.
β This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad, alleluia.
CANTICLE OF ZECHARIAH
Ant. With your hand, touch the mark of the nails; doubt no longer, but believe, alleluia.
Luke 1:68 β 79
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;
Through his holy prophets he promised of old
This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham:
You, my child, shall be called the prophet of the Most High;
In the tender compassion of our God
Glory to the Father, and to the Son,
Ant. With your hand, touch the mark of the nails; doubt no longer, but believe, alleluia.
INTERCESSIONS
God the almighty Father raised Jesus as the firstborn from the dead, and made him our Savior. Let us call upon him, saying.
All-holy Father, you brought your beloved Son Jesus from the darkness of death into the splendor of your glory,
You have given us faith to save us,
You command us to seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at your right hand,
May our life, hidden with Christ in you, our Father, shine before the world,
Our Father who art in heaven,
Concluding Prayer
God of everlasting mercy,
DISMISSAL
May the Lord bless us,
