Message: Seek God

God is your ONE  ; your spouse is your   TWO                                                    

37 He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”  MATTHEW 22:37

39 “The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.”  MATTHEW 22:39

IF YOU’RE NOT MARRIED:

 I will seek the ONE   while preparing for my TWO                                                   

 IF YOU’RE MARRIED:

 I will seek the ONE   with my TWO                                                              

 HOW TO SEEK GOD:

 1. PRAY together

16 … The prayer of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect.  JAMES 5:16

 14 [If] … my people, who bear my name, humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.  2 CHRONICLES 7:14

 2. READ GOD’s WORD together

12 For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.  HEBREWS 4:12

 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.  2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17

3. WORSHIP together

24 And let us watch out for one another to provoke love and good works, 25 not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.  HEBREWS 10:24-25
