Strange Things Are Afoot In The Studio Today! Welcome to April 1, 2023 on the National Day Calendar. Today we celebrate wild crafted dough and alter egos. Did you know that the world’s oldest, leavened bread gets its magic from friendly bacteria that’s wild at heart? That’s right! Sourdough’s the name, and its characteristic flavor comes from lactobacillus and un-cultured yeast. During the gold rush this food staple was so popular with prospectors it earned them the nickname The Sourdoughs. Word has it that they kept the sourdough warm by carrying it tucked inside their shirts. And because they were mostly found in San Francisco, the city still bakes up some of the tastiest loaves around. On National Sourdough Bread Day crack open a loaf of golden-crusted goodness. Anna: Marlo, I have to tell you that I'm actually an automaton, I couldn't hide it any longer as my voice changer has failed and you are going to hear my real voice. Marlo: Well that's okay Anna, I have been hiding the fact that I am actually an alien, this is my true form! Anna: Marlo, John passed out, who's manning the recording? Marlo: I'll go into his room and hit stop, hang on... Anna: I guess that's all for now. Anna/Marlo/John: April Fool's! I’m Anna Devere and I’m Marlo Anderson. Thanks for joining us as we Celebrate Every Day.
