“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” — Proverbs 14:12
“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24
“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” — Mark 12:30

Life is full of decisions—big ones and small ones. Every day, we choose how to spend our time, what to believe, and how to treat others. Proverbs 14:12 warns that even when a path seems right, it may lead us away from God’s best for us. Often, what seems right in the moment can lead to regret later. But just because something feels okay doesn’t mean it’s the right choice. That’s why it’s so important to seek God’s wisdom and guidance in everything we do.
In Psalm 118, we’re reminded to rejoice in the day that God has made. Life is a gift, and we can find joy in it by acknowledging God’s goodness and trusting in His plans. Even when things aren’t perfect, God is still working in our lives. Choosing to focus on His faithfulness and celebrate His goodness helps us find peace and purpose, even in challenging times.
When asked about the most important commandment, Mark 12:30 tells us that loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength is the best way to live. Loving God fully changes the way we see the world and the decisions we make. When we love God above all else, we are more likely to walk the path He has planned for us, avoiding the pitfalls of the wrong paths.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of today. Help me to always seek Your wisdom and guidance in the decisions I make. I want to love You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. Teach me to follow Your path, not the one that seems right to me. May I find joy in Your faithfulness and trust in Your plan for my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
