This week's episode takes a special look at the course and legacy of the Arab Spring, as we reach 10 years on since Hosni Mubarak's removal from power and the height of the upheaval across the region. It also includes analysis of the Swedish Cabinet reshuffle and a review of the Ecuadorian presidential election results, that leave Andres Arauz facing either Yaku Perez or Guillermo Lasso in the second round in April.
In December 2010, a Tunisian market trader lit the flame of revolution across parts of the Arab world, and 10 years on from the toppling of the Egyptian Government, Sam and Chern look back on the Arab Spring and the impact it has had on politics in the region. Tunisia could be viewed as the region's success story, but is it that straight forward? Why did Assad manage to survive all this time in Syria whilst Mubarak fell? How will history view this period?
