Today we are looking at Galatians 1:11-17 and stopping to think about a detail in Paul’s life. What can it teach us about who God is?
If you are just as confused as I am about keeping up with the timeline, this timeline from Blue Letter Bible was a helpful visual for me. If you want to read about Paul's conversation, the full story starts in Acts 9.
Here are some of the every day resources I use to dive deeper into the Bible:
A Study Bible: My translation is this New Living Translation, which has been helpful for me the last ten years in learning to read the Bible.
Youversion Bible: This app is a quick, easy way to read a section in different translations. Sometimes I read a verse in NLT, NIV, ESV, AMP, and The Message to see it from a few different angles and try to understand what is being communicated.
Blue Letter Bible: This website/app is free and full of commentaries, cross references, definitions of root words, and more - it's a great resource for exploring a section of Scripture more in depth.
My recommendation is to read a passage without resources at first, praying and talking to God about help to understand. After that, there are a lot of resources out there!
