This is the second consecutive week with no Riverdale, and our listeners came through in a big way!

While our look at Archie: To Riverdale and Back Again last week didn't draw as many listeners as a regular episode of Archie Digest: A Riverdale Podcast, it still managed to acquit itself pretty well. And we had our first donor to the site (thanks MimiC...and more on that in a minute)!

This has been a chaotic week, and some of the plans for the show ended up changing on the fly, so don't be too surprised if the MP3 of this episode is cleaned up a little and quietly replaced with a slightly shorter one...but we wanted to make sure to get this out to you great, supportive listeners "in time." So here it is!

UPDATE: If you're downloading this after midnight Pacific Time on March 24, the show has been replaced with the final version. Don't worry; you didn't miss anything except about a half an hour's worth of stammering, coughs, and one anecdote that went nowhere. In exchange, you get a final cut with some incidental clips edited in for your entertainment.

ALSO, just for funsies: Russ tweeted a photo of a copy of the novelization of the 2001 Josie and the Pussycats movie that he got for his birthday, and ended up with birthday wishes and/or likes/retweets from ALL THREE of the 2001 Pussycats (Rachael Leigh Cook, Tara Reid, and Rosario Dawson), plus Riverdale's Val, Hayley Law. That was kind of neat.

This episode is part one of a two-part crossover event with the Emerald City Video Podcast, in which Russ and his regular ECV co-host Zach D. Roberts look at Deidre & Laney Rob a Train, a new movie on Netflix starring Ashleigh Murray.

Since Russ is footing the bill for hosting and had to buy some new editing software recently so that he can make all this magic happen quickly and quietly, we’ll probably put together some kind of Patreon so that you can sponsor the show in exchange for swag soon enough. For now, though, if you want to contribute anything and everything, you can do so at Paypal.me/emeraldcityvideo. Anyone who contributes $10 and up will get an 8”x10”, framed original photo of Pop’s Chock’Lit Shoppe, taken by Russ Burlingame during one of our visits to the set of Riverdale.

We've also put together a RedBubble Store at https://www.redbubble.com/people/archiedigest/ where you will be able to get t-shirts, stickers, cell phone cases, and other goods inspired by Riverdaleand our show. Currently there's just one design -- #SheriffKiller -- but there's more to come in the next few days.

Lastly, you can check out a new tie-in comic Russ wrote for The Belko Experiment -- in theaters now -- at http://tinyurl.com/belkocomic. The story is set within the narrative of the film, which comes from director Greg McLean and writer James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, Slither).
