Archie Green is a Cleveland hip-hop artist, songwriter, producer and mental health advocate. Known as the Neighborhood Cope Dealer, he just released his latest project, Cope Dealer, the album.
With more than 20 years in music, Green made history after becoming the first rapper to ever perform at the world renowned Severance Hall which is home to The Cleveland Orchestra. Archie Green has written music for Converse and been featured on a Talib Kweli mixtape, but in 2016 he began his biggest project yet: Bringing attention to mental health through hip-hop.
His introspective single, "Layers," which premiered at VICE.com in 2016, garnered over 25,000 streams in 2 weeks. He has worked to build mental health awareness for black men and boys through hip-hop, through his organization @PeelDemLayersBack
Archie has been featured on various Cleveland-based media outlets including WKYC Channel 3, WCPN Ideastream, Cleveland Magazine, Cleveland.com, and Cleveland Scene. His most recent noteworthy accomplishment is being selected as one of The Guardian's 2019 Cleveland City Champions.
Archie is also a husband, professor of mental health at NAMI, a graduate of Morehouse College and NYU and is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
