femmyst | everyday alchemyArchitecture p3| Practice makes proficient. → practising makes proficientnot perfect. capacity is built through practice, not always through intensity. sometimes intensity collapses the container before it can hold anything. take your time. be slow and deliberate. any cheating here is just cheating yourself.→ the patinaing of youthis is the refinement of you. it gets to be deliberately enjoyable because you say so. with that attitude it feels devotional. it feels easier to show up because this is ultimately for you.→ craft of resiliencebuilt in reps, not necessarily in breakthroughs. though you will have many of those. your capacity for what you can hold grows through use. you start to enjoy the building up to the breakthrough as much as the breakthrough itself.→ find your sustainable stridebursts and rest count. slow motion counts. and anybody who has ever had a lover knows the gift of a slow burn. your development, your practice, your relationship with yourself can feel like that. you do not need to terrorise yourself. no obsessing, no flooding, no collapsing.→ disassociation breaks the momentumyou forget the theme you were working on. regular life and regular loops set in. you come to again later and think, wait, I was working on something. that gap is disassociation. stay with it. stay sober through it. even when it feels emotionally contentious, even when the sweets and the show are calling. be with the process.→ the simplifying practicethe picker who likes complexity. a humourous inside joke to herself. noticing where the overcomplicating and the ruminating were actually fools errands, distractions from the harder thing just around the corner. that was the disassociation. and she caught it.→ energetic statesgetting clear on the state you prefer to be in and not moving out of it. learning this with the chaos goblins. white-knuckling it first, then growing the capacity separately. then looking back as a mother of teenagers and realising none of that mattered as much as it felt like it did at the time. the practice compounds and the things that used to change your state stop having that power.→ self-abuse is not disciplinediscipline, determination, devotion: these feel like self-enrichment, like showing up for yourself. shaming, perfectionism, being overly self-critical: that is not the work. you get to put a boundary up around that. numbing, checking out, flooding with distraction: these break the momentum.→ even in motion, even in restyou are worth the investment of this practice. not to motivate you. as a fact. stay with it. you are already doing it. you are just getting more and more elegant at it.for a specific few:• .... ⧼the one who has been calling self-abuse discipline for years, 18:38 is the reframe⧽────────────────femmyst | everyday alchemy────────
