Bishop John Shelby Spong is a retired United States Episcopalian Bishop, equal rights activist and writer. 

This conversation was recorded in June 2001 before Sunday Service at Brisbane’s Metropolitain Community Church. 

Bishop Spong had been banned by both Brisbane’s  Catholic and Anglican Archbishops from speaking for his message of acceptance and tolerance in churches.
