Really worth your time.
Ardent (The ArcKnight Chronicles #1) by Alexia Purdy a Fantasy/Shifter book. This is a story of a family, focusing on a young woman. Lilliana, and her plight as she is tossed out of her pack for a mistake that isn't even hers. As she makes her way through a community that is not her own, finding herself on the wrong side of town on the first night, she meets the person who will be by her side to assist her through this new time in her life, Ephrem. While she has to struggle with a new life her sister, Rafaela, has to struggle moving on without her, this being a secondary plot.
I think the writer does an excellent job telling a fun and interesting story. The characters are well developed. There are pleasant little surprises throughout the book. I like how the author shows Lilliana that her life was not as perfect as she thought and then began to show her how to live. I love how this story built the relationship between Ephrem and Lilliana it was truly well done. I think the only thing I was a bit disappointed about was the ending. I felt this main character, Lilliana, just out of the blue became a flop. It bugs me. However, I guess I shall see what happens in the next book!
All in all you have got to read this book. Great plot, fun read. Well worth your time! Plus, I have a feeling that the next book will be great too!
Decided that I love her other work that I had to give this ...
ÂÂÂÂÂ I am by no means new to Alexia's work and I found this on Amazon for free. Decided that I love her other work that I had to give this series a try as well. The includes the first to book in the series of the ArchKnight Chronicles. There is a lot going on in these pages and something that you should not pass on. Just a little taste and you will be hooked.
ÂÂÂÂÂ Lilly is forced from her home and family for mistakes that are not even hers to shoulder, but what can one do when there are rival packs, love, betrayal and secrets all on the line. Survive to fight another day. She finds her a part of her she always knew was missing and she finds that in Epherm. I want more and that is a fact.
