Ardent Atheists Emery Emery and Heather Henderson talk with comedians, actors and friends about atheism, deism and the effects of religion on us all. Guests of the show are a mix of atheists, agnostics, deists, scientists, humanists and the occasional god-loving, scripture-quoting crusader. Discussions are deeply impassioned, mostly respectful and always funny. You can find out more about them on their website here.
Emery is a filmmaker, director, producer, and comedian. He's worked with Penn Jillette, and was the editor of film The Aristocrats and The Green Room with Paul Provenza. He directed "Jake Johannsen: I Love You", Chris Porter's, "Screaming From The Cosmos" and produced "Doug Stanhope's, "Oslo: Burning The Bridge To Nowhere" as well as Teller's film, "Play Dead". Emery is a former evangelical Christian whose religious studies, instead of bolstering his faith as he intended, led him to become a skeptic of all things woo.
Heather is a singer, actress, editor, producer, and burlesque veteran. She got her start at the age of 16 as a co-host and mini dancing superstar of the nationwide television show “Dance Party USA”. She has also appeared on Sesame Street and in “Mannequin 2” and the Disney film “Annapolis”. She is currently the lead vocalist of Penn Jillette's No God Band in Las Vegas.
