Luke chapter 10 begins with Jesus sending out 72 followers to preach the Kingdom of God, heal the sick, and bring peace wherever they go. He warns them that the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few, calling for boldness and dependence on God. When they return with joy, He reminds them that their true victory is having their names written in heaven. Jesus then tells the Parable of the Good Samaritan, teaching that true love of neighbor crosses cultural and social boundaries. The chapter ends with Mary sitting at Jesus’ feet while Martha is distracted with serving, highlighting the importance of listening to His words above all else.
