Centered-set faith involves thinking outside of the box, but that sort of thinking can seem threatening in faith communities. Are there genuinely spiritually dangerous lines of thought or can we trust Jesus to be a good guide wherever we go? Ryan Bauers, who leads a Blue Ocean Faith community in Duluth, points to an article that says we in fact need to travel uncharted courses in this way or we actually damage our brains.
