For many many generations there has been a widely know list of the seven deadly sins:  lust, gluttony, greed , sloth, wrath, envy and pride.  But, if the list is so ancient, that raises several questions: is it from the Bible? if not, where did it come from?  and, what purpose does it serve us today?
