For their final episode, Leah and Alison reflect on all their favourite memories from UL and their best moments from the podcast this year.

This week Leah and Alison sat down with UL Student Life's newly elected Student President for the 2025/26 academic year, Síofra Foley. The current welfare officer can't wait to step into her new role.

This week on the podcast we are celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge. Leah and Alison are joined by TG4 journalist, keen gaelgóir and past UL student, Seán Ó Maoilchiaráin.  The girls use cúpla focail throughout the episode!

Campaigning for the next cohort of Student Officers starts on Monday 10th , with voting to take place on Thursday 13th.

On this weeks episode Leah and Alison are joined by Oisín McConville. Oisín has won numerous All-Ireland titles with his club Crossmaglen and his county Armagh and he’s currently the Wicklow county football manager.  

Despite his on-field success, Oisín has struggled with a gambling addiction.  

He now works as an addiction councillor, using his own experiences to help others and he shared some valuable insights with the girls.

This week Leah & Alison speak to TV and Radio presenter Valerie Wheeler. Valerie is well known for her role as an RTE sports presenter and as co-host of Spin South West's Breakfast Show. 

She shares her unusual path into broadcasting with the girls, offering insight into what it takes to thrive in the fast-paced world of television and radio. She also chats about what it's like to be a female sports presenter.

On this weeks episode Leah and Alison are joined by Oisín Fahy, a former UL student who’s been making waves in the world of business and fitness. Oisín is the owner of Whack Vintage and he also runs his own online fitness coaching business. He shares some of his personal journey, insights from his time at UL, and how he’s been able to balance his entrepreneurial ventures with his passion for fitness.

This week we spoke to UL Business Student and online fitness coach Sam O Hara. Sam speaks to Leah & Alison about his passion for fitness and how he made it into a business. He shares his experience of studying abroad in Montreal, Canada and gives some advice for students starting out on their erasmus journey.

Welcome back!!

This week Leah & Alison spoke to Clubs Executive Eva McCormack about how clubs and societies helped her settle into college life. She explains some of the advantages of joining one. If you are interested in starting a new hobby or meeting some new friends the clubs and societies fair is on Wednesday 5th February in the University Concert Hall from 4pm-7:30pm.

This week Leah & Alison chat to well-known Limerick lady, Lucy Fitzgibbon. Lucy is commonly known by her instagram handle @LuccyyFitz and her makeup page back in the day! 

Lucy moved from Askeaton to Barcelona when she was 20 after struggling with the demands of being in the public eye from a young age. Lucy bravely chats about her mental health journey and her experience with chid loss. 

She talks about how she has used her struggles inspired her to set up her own tattooing business @loolaink.
