Are We Living Now in the “Last Days”?

The Question still persists – are these day the last days of mankind and the earth that the bible speaks of? I say no!

I. Reviewing Matt. 24: 1-3 “Speakers, hearers, time and place”

a. Of what age are the Apostles speaking of? The First Covenant Age

b. This is the age that ended – these last days were of the Jewish Covenant with Jehovah God. Read Dan. 12: 1

The word “coming” in verse 3 is the Greek word Parousia – a noun meaning the presence of Christ Jesus. Read II Thess. 1: 3-10, written A.D. 54-55

II. Moving on in Matt. 24: 4-14

a. Read Col. 1: 21, 29 (A.D. 63)

b. Jesus said, “See that no one misleads you (2nd Person, Plural)”

i. The Apostles were hearing this and would be alive (some of them) to see all the seasons and events Jesus would describe through verse 51.

c. Note verse 14. Jesus reveals the time of the end – an answer to the Apostles question.

d. Read Acts 1: 4-9
