A large number of people have convinced themselves that they are followers of Jesus - but they believe and live in ways which are totally contradictory to Scripture. Jesus gave us this teaching in Matthew 7:12-29 to challenge us to examine our own hearts, and to prepare/equip us to minister to "Christian Imposters."

Verses 12-14: Jesus' definition of a genuine Christian

Someone who is running the race (v. 12)

Someone who has properly started the race (vv. 13-14)

Verses 15-20: Imposter #1 (Claim to have started the race, but not on the course; no fruit)
