In this enlightening Admin Mastermind session, Joshua Stamper and Chad Ostrowski explored the concept of the Marigold Effect, drawing parallels between gardening and school culture. Just as marigolds protect and encourage plant growth in gardens, positive and supportive individuals, or "marigolds," can foster a thriving environment for teachers in schools. We delved into strategies for identifying, cultivating, and empowering these marigolds to positively influence their colleagues and the school community.

Additionally, we addressed the presence of "walnut trees" in schools, metaphorically representing toxic individuals whose negative attitudes can inhibit growth and spread toxicity. We discussed practical approaches for school leaders to navigate interactions with such individuals, minimize their toxic influence, and create a healthier and more supportive environment for everyone.

Join us as we explore the importance of nurturing positive relationships, fostering collaboration, and creating a culture where all individuals can thrive and contribute to the collective growth of the school community.
