In this episode of the Daily Becoming Podcast I discuss Self Advocacy with my special guest Jeany Sulpha.
Jeany shares her story and she and I talk about the importance of:
-Vocalizing Your Specific Needs
-Being Transparent in your communication with others
-Understanding changing seasons
-Advocacy for parents of children with extra needs
-Moving from acceptance to inclusion for parents of children with extra needs
Jeany Sulpha is a Mommy of 3 who strives to support all mothers on a journey via her work as a Mommy Advocate.
In the summer of 2015, not only did she lose her mom suddenly but her marriage dissolved and her son was diagnosed with Autism. Her frustration grew from not feeling heard or properly supported. Not wanting any other mother to suffer in silence or fall by the way side, as she did, something had to be done.
Jeany created Mommy Needs A Time Out in March 2016 in order to create a safe village for mother's to vent, network , share resources and build a community. The platform is used to encourage mothers to love the mother in their motherhood journey.
