Let's go to confession...No thanks! Why don't we want to go to Confession? Are there things we can do to prepare that might help?
In this episode, we will discuss reasons why we might be avoiding this Sacrament of Healing and share thoughts that might have you heading straight to the confessional! (Ok we might be over-promising but it's worth a listen.)
Why don’t we want to go to Confession?
1. We don’t know how to go
2. We have forgotten the “process”
3. Shame/embarrassment
4. We think our sin is shocking
5. Past experience in confession that was hard
Preparing for Confession
1. Pray that we encounter Jesus personally
2. Priest will help you
3. Online Examination of Conscience based on commandments
4. Ask God to show us where we are in sin
5. Trust in His love and mercy
6. Pray for the priest who will hear your confession
