Hair glue can do damage to your scalp, which can be permanent. According to The Hair Trauma Center founder and beauty expert Jacqueline Tarrant, hair weave glue does not allow for any “breathing” of the hair, in that it blocks the pores in your scalp, damaging hair follicles and drying out the hair.
Do weaves damage your hair?
Due to the fact that your natural hair is tightly pulled on when wearing a weave, this can be tough on your hair.
The constant pull could damage not only the hair stand, but also the hair follicle. Since hair follicles ca not be grown back after they have damage, this can lead to permanent hair loss.

The hazard was much higher for African-American women: Among Black woman who used permanent dyes every five to eight weeks researchers saw a 60 percent increased risk of breast cancer, compared to the 8 percent in their white peers. If your hair and scalp aren’t in great condition then a weave could in fact do more harm than good . For example, it could weigh down and pull on your hair – and if it’s not strong and healthy at the roots that can cause breakage and in extreme cases, even permanent hair loss. Dangers of fake eyelashes:
• Allergic Reactions: Using fake eye lashes can lead to allergic reactions of eyes and skin which can stem from the adhesive used to attach fake lashes to the lids.
• Damage to Natural Eyelashes: Natural lashes can be damaged if artificial lashes are not properly fixed to the eyelids. Regular usage of harmful chemicals on the eyelashes can make them fall out faster than they naturally would and artificial lashes cause the eyelashes to shed quicker than they are supposed to.
In most cases the method involved in fixing the eyelashes can cause substantial damage to the hair follicles making the natural lashes become sparse, brittle, and prone to wear and tear. The pressure interferes with natural growth and in severe cases affects growth permanently.
