We have seen things occur in our nation and in the world, not just in our lifetimes but more so in recent years, that we never imagined that we would see. But with all of that I believe there are things coming to the world and to the United States that are "not yet seen” and that we, in our wildest dreams, could never imagine. In I John 2:18 the Apostle John said, “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.” We know that The Antichrist will bring in his one-world government, one-world, universal religion, and his one-world economy. But John also says the spirit of antichrist is already in the world and that there are those who picture the spirit and attitude of The Antichrist in this world as well. Listen to what John says in I John 4:3: “And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist . . . ” We need to be reaching our loved ones, our friends, our neighbors, and even strangers with the Gospel because even though we won’t be around to see some of the things that are going to take place, they will be if they don’t know Jesus as Savior and Lord. What does that have to do with our text? God told Noah “There are some things coming that you have not seen before and could never imagine. In Genesis 6:13 He warned him, “. . . The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.” Why did God say that? In Genesis 6:1-3 we are told, “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, (2) That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. (3) And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.” The “sons of God” is a reference to the descendants of Seth, the line of faith, those who followed God. Genesis 4:26: “And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord” (or be called by, identified with, the name of the Lord). The “daughters of men” refers to the daughters of those unbelievers who descended from Cain. The result of these unions, I believe, was that many of God’s people, intermarrying with the lost, were becoming just like the lost. But look at Genesis 6:8-9: “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” Why? “(9) These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.” Can you think of any other Old Testament character who “walked with God?” Enoch. Who was Enoch? He was Noah’s great-grandfather.) So God chose this one man, Noah, to live through the flood that He brought upon the earth and to go forth and replenish it after the floodwaters were gone. (Don’t ever think that your life will not matter to future generations!) And because of Noah’s faithfulness to God, he is recorded in Hebrews 11, a chapter in the Bible which many call God’s Hall of Faith, or God’s Hall of The Faithful, etc. Noah gets one verse in that chapter, but it says so much to us today. When God said to Noah, “There’s something coming that you have never seen before,” Noah believed Him and responded to Him. First we see that . . .
