King Solomon was the wisest, richest, most renowned king that this world has ever known.  Eventually, the LORD used him to write and assemble the book of Proverbs-- one of the Bible's great pieces of wisdom literature.  But Solomon's greatness can be traced back to a critical event in 1 Kings 3 that re-shaped his outlook, life, and kingship:  the night he asked the LORD for wisdom.  As we search this text, what was Solomon's path to wisdom?  What valuable insights can we apply from this text about finding and embracing wisdom for our Christian life journey?  ~Words to the Wise, Part 1
