Let’s talk about networking. In the world today, more and more networking is done on Zoom through virtual coffees. And I’m putting this out there; 99% of people are doing them wrong.

And here is why - they go into it expecting to sell something. Yes, every virtual coffee is a sales call (unless already in my network), but I don’t expect to sell a thing.

The point of a virtual call, the brilliance behind doing it, is to get to know that person you're sitting across from so damn well that you could introduce them to your best clients, right? 

And they should be respecting your time to do the same thing.
