Are You Meeting Your Legitimate Needs Illegitimately? | Ep. 33
God said He knows what we have need of even before we ask. But it's easy for us to become impatient and try to meet our needs in ways that go against the will of God. This is what the devil tried to do with Jesus after His 40 days of fasting.
In this episode, I want to encourage you to trust God in every circumstance by showing you the strategies the enemy uses to get you to try and meet your legitimate needs through illegitimate means.
- How the devil often tempts us to meet legitimate needs in illegitimate ways
- Trusting God instead of trying to take shortcuts by attempting to solve problems your way
- Having patience in the process even though waiting on God can be challenging
- Why meditating on God’s Word allows the Holy Spirit to guide you and keep you aligned with His plans for you
God is faithful and Matthew 6:33 reminds us that prioritising God’s Kingdom over our own desires ensures all our needs will be met in His perfect timing.

I know that I have the patience to wait on you because I have the Holy Spirit living on the inside of me and have Jesus living on the inside of me. And so I put my trust in you and know that you will supply all of my need according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Any needs that I have now, I bring them to you. And I thank you that you resolve them legitimately. And so I don’t have to use illegitimate means to actually get my needs met.
