- We often practice being offended on each other, working our way up to being offended with God - how He is not coming through for us in the way we envisioned, expected, or hoped. Sometimes, we feel as though we have done our part: we’ve prayed, we’ve given of ourselves, perhaps forgiven someone or performed some other better than average act, so now we’ve certainly cleared the way for God to do His thing for us - but then it still doesn’t happen. Not only are we upset that we haven’t gotten our way, but our pride is often wounded and we just want to wash our hands completely of any relationship with or trust in God.
