The timing of this story this late after Halloween is unfortunate, especially since Christmas displays are ubiquitous now. Spooky stories aren’t everyone’s thing, but I just ask that you give this one a shot.
This episode’s story is modeled after my late-night drives back home after working in a North Austin Emergency Department.
The trip home was short, but mercilessly dark and lonely. There was a small grove of trees behind our apartment complex viewable from the road. A world of unknown terrors hid in that tangled grove of gnarled branches and crooked tree trunks.
One of those things slithered out and made its way into this story.
This episode is titled, “Help Needed”.
