💥 Join me today on the podcast (link below) as I exhort: Keep oil in your lamps - for when the Bridegroom returns and you’re not ready, there will be no Wedding Feast for you! There will be judgment and rewards based on how we live our lives on earth when these mortal bodies are destined to return to the dust. We'll be discussing the consequences of leading a high-risk, sinful life. Spoiler alert: it could cost you your soul. Indeed, without awakening and coming to our senses, ceasing sin, and turning to Christ Jesus, we WILL be consigned to eternal torment in Hell’s fire, awaiting THE Final Judgment. Such is the cost of a sinful, wicked life: THE LAKE OF FIRE.
“If we [claim to] live by the [Holy] Spirit, we must also walk by the Spirit [with personal integrity, godly character, and moral courage—our conduct empowered by the Holy Spirit]” (Galatians 5:25). In Christ, we are called to live for righteousness. So, what does it mean to live for righteousness as stated in 1 Peter 2:24? “He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross [willingly offering Himself on it, as on an altar of sacrifice], so that we might die to sin [becoming immune from the penalty and power of sin] and live for righteousness; for by His wounds you [who believe] have been healed.”
To live for righteousness means we wholeheartedly realize that sin does not please God. Because of this, we pursue holiness instead of sinfulness in our thoughts, words, and actions. We submit ourselves to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, our God and Savior! When we place faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit indwells us and empowers us to live for righteousness (Acts 2:28). As we “walk in the Spirit” (Galatians 5:16, 25), He produces fruit in our lives that reflect His character.
"But He gives us more and more grace [through the power of the Holy Spirit to defy sin and live an obedient life that reflects both our faith and our gratitude for our salvation]. Therefore, it says, “God is opposed to the proud and haughty, but [continually] gives [the gift of] grace to the humble [who turn away from self-righteousness]” (James 4:6).
Proverbs 10:9 – “Those who walk uprightly will be secure, but those who pervert their ways will be exposed.”
WE ARE COMMANDED TO: Live clean. Be Holy. Live for God.
Amen! 🎯 REPENT and BELIEVE and TURN back to God!
