Are You Really FOR Church Growth (Acts 11:1-30)
God’s plan is is to bring the gospel to the ends of the earth. But are you really for it? Or are you more concerned to maintain the comfortable status quo? In Acts 11:1-30, we’re shown two contrasting attitudes to church growth, and forced to consider where we stand. Are we for it or really against it?

Context
Acts 1: Preparing for the Mission
Acts 2:1-6:7: The gospel goes out in Jerusalem
Acts 6:8-9:31: The gospel goes out in Judea & Samaria
Acts 10-12: The gospel goes to the nations
1. Opposition to the Gentile Mission Silenced (1-18)
a. Criticism of the Gentile mission (1-3)
b. Setting the facts in order (4-17)
c. Celebrating God’s sovereign grace (18)
i. God is sovereign in salvation
ii. Repentance leads to life
2. Support for the Gentile Mission Secured (19-26)
a. The church is established through preaching (19-21)
b. The church grows through teaching (22-26)
3. Unity of the Gentile Mission Expressed (27-30)
