1 John 1:1-4 speaks about a gospel that is not just taught and learnt, but a gospel that has been encountered. We are called into a relationship with God but many christians mistake knowing a lot about God for actually knowing God, this is not friendship. When someone has a lot of knowledge about you but has never encountered you, that’s not a friend, that’s a stalker.
