Are you the Arnold Schwarzenegger of Goal Setting?

In this episode of The Overgivers Anonymous Podcast, I have a serious question for you. Are you the “Arnold Schwarzenegger” of goal setting? I'm not talking about the whole big muscles and powering through no matter what. I’m talking about his trademark comment  “I'll be back” from the Terminator series. Are you one of those people that write out goals, dreams, thoughts and then mutter “Yeah, I'll be back and look at it”? BUT you never come back. You ain’t no “Arnie”. I used to do this. I think we all do until we understand how valuable it is to go back.

Highlights:

The most important thing you can do is write down your goals. Making that connection between your hand and the pen and then the pen to the paper and then ultimately creating synapses in your brain will make you more likely to accomplish those goals.
However, just writing it down is not enough. It’s like creating a vision board that you toss in the closet and never look at again.  It is not going to have the same impact that it could have if you saw it every day. 
You are less likely to accomplish your goals if you don't write them down. So celebrate if you are writing them down because that's important. But now how do you want to see them?
I encourage you to look at your goals regularly. It is something that has made a huge positive impact in my business and with the business owners that I work with. 
You need to write out your yearly goals and then break them down into quarterly, monthly and weekly goals.  If you don't know what you need to do week by week in your business, you're not working towards your goals. You are just busy. 
Make sure that you are taking time each month to look at your monthly goals to make sure that you are on track to where you want to go.
